Introducing The "Why Not" Project♥

Introducing The "Why Not" Project♥

Introducing The "Why Not" Project♥ by the-tip-girly featuring hair clip accessories

 Sooo, I came up with this idea, inspired by this post I saw on Tumblr. I don't remember who said it, or exactly what it said, but it was something like this:
"Why does liking someone have to be this big secret? Why don't we wear shirts with the names of our crushes on them? Why don't we just go up to a guy and say 'HELLO SIR YOU ARE VERY ATTRACTIVE'? Why don't we just throw pianos at the people who irritate us? WHY?!"
Well, first when I read that I started laughing. It's so true! People these days are so insecure about themselves that they won't share their opinions, do what they really want & say what they really want! Now from now on, I want you to say what you think. Now, that doesn't mean you should say mean things to people, it means that you should be yourself regardless of what anyone else will think or say. If you've ever felt insecure enough to try to be someone you're not, pretend to like things that you don't, held in your feelings because you were scared someone would judge you, that stops now. You deserve to be independent, have your own thoughts & feelings!
Oscar Wilde once said, "Be yourself, everyone else is taken!" I really believe everyone should live by that. Support this message by liking this set and commenting the pledge:
"I, _____, will not change who I am for others. I will be myself, think my own thoughts, and have my own feelings. I will respect other people's thoughts and feelings, just like I would want people to do for me."
Thank you everyone! I hope this helped you♥

How to raise a lot of money: Tip #73

How to raise a lot of money: Tip #73

How to raise a lot of money: Tip #73 by polyvoretips featuring roman gladiator sandals

 *If you're 16 or older, try to get a job. Even if it's just a cheap one, if you keep saving, the money will add up!

*Car wash! Really fun way to get a lot of money. Ask stores if you can have a car wash in their parking lot. If yes, make large signs that say car wash & the price on it. Try to get a bunch of your friends to help, and have fun with it!
If you're happy with the money results of that car wash, have another one, in a different location! :)

*Ebay!
Go through EVERYTHING you have. Try to pick out valuable items (that you of course don't want anymore) and post it up on Ebay for a reasonable price.

*Street performing!
You have to be careful with this, but it's a lot of fun :)
If you're good at singing, dancing, playing an instrument, try it!

*Recycle. Gather all the empty containers in your house that can be recycled, and go to those places where they pay for your recyclables.
When I lived in Oregon, they would have these machines all over the place where you could just drop in the recyclable stuff, and it automatically gave you money.
If you're not sure where you can do that where you live, look it up!

*Check for money under the couch cushions and your washer and dryer. You might find a few bucks! haha

Tip 2 - Making Money

Tip 2 - Making Money

Tip 2 - Making Money by wishon11stars featuring a rose gold diamond necklace

 Making Money( I hope this helps)

•*help your neighbors- feed pets, get mail, water plants and grass and ask if you can walk their dogs(if any)
•* run a garage sale- gather up the things that you don’t use and sell them for donations or help someone else sell there stuff.
•* car washes- fun way on a hot summer day with friends!!
•* help younger people learn things you are good at (piano,tennis,sewing,dancing,etc.)
•* BABYSIT- start with going to a house prepared( with a liscense)- knowing the kid(s) name(s), ages, and bring something that you can do with the kids. When you get there ask for bedtimes,allergies, what they should eat, when they should eat, emergency fone numbers, what they are allowed to do, etc… Depending on the amount of kinds and the time you babysit them, come up w/an amount of money. Most parents will ask your charge….Start out with about $3-$5 per hour. I babysit 2 kids and a dog often and I usually ask for $5-$8 per hour because they are not the easiest kids to watch… Usually I get more money than I expect but the money you should expect should grow as your experience does. I learned this from a friend a few days ago but when you receive money do not count it in front of the kids’ parents wait until you get in the car or get home…
•*Ask your parents for a list of things that you can do- I get a lot of money this way! I have 6 siblings so there is always something that my mom needs to get done… Ask to clean the kitchen($5 maybe) organize stuff( depends on the amount and what) mow the lawn($10) help siblings($5) rake leaves$5-$8) clean messy areas($7) etc.
•*Make a stand- lemonade stand, hot chocolate, coffee, jewelry, zipper pulls, tshirts, and little homemade/decorated bags,… etc…

How to make a - TUTU :)

How to make a - TUTU :)

How to make a - TUTU :) by the-tip-direction featuring a bangle bracelet

 While a tutu probably isn’t something you’d wear every day, I think it’s always a good idea to have one on hand just in case you ever get the urge to frolic around in yards of frilly fabric. and just play dress up and feel all girly and what not :)
so anyways ~
heres what you need~
~Tulle (and lots of it). For my tutu I used 10 yards of 54-inch-wide tulle. I think this amount would work best for small/medium-size folks. For larger sizes you’ll probably want at least double that amount. If you want a longer tutu, use wider pieces of tulle.

~A piece of fabric measuring 5″ in width and your waist* measurement in length, four extra inches for overlap.

~ piece of ribbon that’s long enough to fit around your waist,* plus a little extra to tie the ends off with.

~Scissors

~Measuring tape

~sewing pins

~sewing machine

* When I say waist I mean wherever you want the top of the tutu to sit–this could be at your natural waistline, low-waisted, or on yourhips. It’s up to you!

note~ if u dont own a sewing machine u may also sew by hand but it might be a little harder and takes longer time.

steps--
1-Cutting the fabric ~
Lay out all your fabric on a flat surface.

2. Measure seven inches in from the outer edge of the tulle with a measuring tape. Mark this measurement with a pin.

3. From that pinned point, measure and mark another seven inches, and so on. Keep pinning each point and measuring another seven inches from it.

4. Cut the fabric into strips, using the sewing pins as a guide. The strips should be (roughly) seven inches wide.

5. Repeat this measuring and cutting process on all of your fabric until all you’re left with is a ton of fabric strips.

6. At this point you’re probably thinking, How the eff am I supposed to make all of that look like a tutu? I promise it’s possible! I’ll show you how in the next step.
02~Making the tutu!-
Lay out one of the tulle strips and cinch it in the middle.

2.Fold the strip in half and form a loop towards the top of it.

3. Next , grab your ribbon and place the folded piece of tulle, looped side up, under it.

4. Weave the bottom ends of the tulle strip through the loop.

5. Pull the ends of the tulle up through the loop until a knot forms.

6. Continue this knotting process with the all of tulle strips until you’ve filled the entire length of ribbon.

7. When you’re done adding all of the tulle strips, tie off each end of the ribbon to secure the strips in place.

8. At this point, if you’re not really interested in adding a waistband to your tutu, you can just leave it as is and use the ends of the ribbon to tie the two sides of the tutu together when you wear it.
okay
step -03~(sorry for all the steps just wanted to make it long and detailed )
Attaching the waistband~
I’m throwing this step in for anyone who wants the waistline of their tutu to look a bit more finished, as opposed to having all of the tulle knots showing when you wear the tutu. Again, it’s not 100% necessary that you do this; it’s really just a way of making the tutu look a bit more put together.

1. Fold your waistband fabric in half and mark the center point with a pin.

2. Do the same with your tutu. Fold the whole thing in half and mark the center point with a pin.

3. Line the two pins up. Pin the tutu and waistband together at this point.

4. Continue pinning the waist band fabric to the rest of the skirt’s waistline, lining the edge of the fabric up with the tops of the tulle knots.

5. Flip the tutu over so the knots are facing you (instead of the waistband fabric) and sew a straight stitch right under the knots.

6. Fold and pin the raw edges of the waistband fabric over about 1/2″ to create a hem, and stitch them closed.

7. And finally, tie the tutu on, fluff it up, and enjoy! ♦

Winter Workout

Winter Workout

Winter Workout by the-finger-tips on Polyvore

 So here's a workout you could do inside::

//ROMANIAN DEADLIFTS//
Romanian deadlifts target the hamstrings, quads, and glutes.
•Stand holding one or two cans (or medium weights) and your knees slightly bent.
•Keeping your arms straight in front of your pelvis and knees slightly bent, slowly bend at your hip joint (not your waist) and lower the cans (or weights) as far as possible without rounding your back, which should remain straight.
•Squeeze your glutes and abs to slowly pull yourself up. Do not rely on your back to do the work.
•Do three sets of 12 reps.
•For a harder variation, balance on one leg at a time while completing this exercise

//JUMPING JACKS WITH SHOULDER PRESSES//
This exercise targets your shoulders, lats, and inner and outer thigh muscles.
•Stand with your feet under your hips. Grasp a can (or weight) in each hand with your elbows bent and hands at ear height. Jump your feet out into a wide angle as you press the cans (or weights) overhead, keeping them above your shoulders.
•Bring your feet back together as you lower the cans (or weights).
•Jump for one minute. Rest for 20 seconds, and repeat two more sets.

//THE SPLIT CRUNCH//
This split crunch is killer for your abs.
•Lie on your back, making sure your abs are engaged and your spine is neutral. Your belly button should be pulled in toward your spine.
•Straighten both your legs to a 90-degree angle from your torso, feet parallel to the floor with soles facing the ceiling. Place your hands behind your ears, and and pull your chin in toward your chest, fixing your gaze on your belly button.
•Rounding your spine and keeping your belly button in, curl up and make a "C" shape with your back before slowly releasing. Repeat this leg position five times.
•Lower one leg until it is a few inches from the floor, and point your toes. The other leg should stay at the same up-pointed position. Do five more crunches at this position.
•Switch legs, and do five more crunches with the opposite leg now lowered.
•Rest for 30 to 60 seconds and then repeat two to three sets.

//HIP RAISES WITH A TWIST//
You will complete the same motion as a hip raise, but twisting from left to right engages the obliques. While this can be done on a bench, you can also complete this exercise on the floor.
•Lie on your back, and hold onto the sides of the bench behind you. Or, if you are lying on the floor, rest your arms on each side, with your palms pressing down into the floor. Keeping your legs together, raise the legs up toward the ceiling.
•Squeezing the legs together, lift your hips and lower back off the bench, making sure the legs point directly up as you lift and twist toward the left. Return to the center, and slowly lower back down to the bench, one vertebra at a time. Lift up and repeat on the right side.
•Complete two to three sets of 10 hip raises with a twist.

//SUPERMAN//
Superman will help strengthen upper and lower back muscles.
•Lie face down on your stomach with arms and legs extended. Keep your neck in a neutral position.
•Keeping your arms and legs straight (but not locked) and torso stationary, simultaneously lift your arms and legs up toward the ceiling to form an elongated "u" shape with your body — back arched and arms and legs several inches off the floor.
•Hold 30 seconds. Repeat three times.

How to make mini dreamcatchers

How to make mini dreamcatchers

How to make mini dreamcatchers by demigod-tip-girls on Polyvore

 BEFORE I START, those numbered pictures will help you a lot. Describing how to make a dreamcatcher is pretty hard.

ALSO: Please note that this is for a mini dreamcatcher and it'll be pretty small.

Hopefully the tip will make up for the terrible set.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Materials:
An old bangle or some wire
string
fake feathers
scissors
glue
beads
STEP 1 1/2) If you're using wire, make a circle of wire. Make sure that it goes around twice (so it's two circles of wire on top of each other), rather than once. Cut the wire (careful!) and twist the ends together.
STEP 1) Cut about 6 feet of string for your dreamcatcher. If it's larger, use more string. It's better to have too much string than not enough. Tie a slip knot around your bangle/wire hoop.
STEP 2) This is the hard part. The stitch. Refer to the 3rd and 4th pictures if you need help.
Loop the string around the bangle about 3 inches from where you started. It will make a hole. Go through the hole from the top. Repeat this step four or five times until it looks like the 5th picture.
STEP 3) Keep repeating the step, but this time in the middle of the stiches you just made. Keep moving inward. If you'd like beads within the web, do the stitch normally, but string on a bead.
STEP 4) Continue the stitch until you can't do it anymore. Thread on a bead, then tie it down on a nearby stitch. Cut off excess string.
STEP 5) Cut more string of various lengths. Thread on as many beads as you like. If you want them to be in specific spots, glue them there. Tie the string to the feathers.
STEP 6) Once you've decorated the strings to how you like, tie them onto the bangle/wire hoop. Put the shorter ones on the sides and the longer ones toward the middle.
And there you go!
PRETTiER iN A WEEK♥
PRETTiER iN A WEEK♥
PRETTiER iN A WEEK♥ by the-tip-direction on Polyvore
 So I'm starting this off with a little note...
EVERYONE iS BEAUTiFUL.
This is just a tip to enhance your natural beauty, so you can become more confident (this is also a tip for me to pay attention to) and feel good in your own.
And this is not day by day, but things that if you do them every day, you'll see a lot of improvement in a week.
♥Brush your teeth:
-when you wake up
-after breakfast
-after lunch
-after school
-after dinner
-before bed
♥eat strawberries and lemons, as they make your teeth whiter :)
♥Do:
-25 squats
-25 trunk twists for each side
-25 sit-ups
♥Give at least 1O compliments a day :)
♥ Brush your hair 200 strokes a day.. bonus points if you do more!!
♥Wash your face with an exfoliant every night to get the dead skin and pimples off your face. BUT before, take off your makeup. Clinique makes this amazing makeup removing foam wash. It's a little expensive, but it lasts FOREVER.
♥Use maybelline baby lips. Apply every 30 minutes-ish. Even if you're prone to dry lips, this keeps them soft and kissable.
♥Wash your hair as much as you can. If it begins to get too dry, leave on a hydrating mask. I usually just load my head with hydrating conditioner, and wrap it in plastic wrap for 15 minutes.
♥Moisturize like crazy every night. Over-moisturize. Itll leave you soft and dewy the next day.
♥Kick picking habits. Whether its pimples, naail skin, lip skin, or nails. Kick them.
♥Paint your nails a different color every day.
♥Drink a soothing tea before bed.. without sugar or caffeine. I reccomend one with chamomolie+mint, as I do.
♥Wake up earlier so you don't feel rushed, and you'll have more time to get ready and feel presetable, leaving you more amiable and less cranky throughout the day.
And the reason I said get prettier in just a week, doesn't mean you should stop this. I do this every day. I mainly said a week, because habits start to form after a week.
What are your suggestions? I may add them with credit to you!♥
 13 DIY Christmas Trees!!
The first one will be...
SPOOL TREES
This one is a bit harder to create, so here's the official website-
http://mayaroad.typepad.com/dt/2011/12/spool-christmas-tree.html
What you need::
25 Skinny wooden Spools (wood)
1 Wood Mini Spool
1 vintage Wooden Spool
1 Crystal Star Trinket Pin
(approx.) 12 inches of cream ruffled edge trim
1. Punch 5 Circles, one each of the following sizes. .5",  .75", 1", 1.25", 1.5" from the manilla folder.  Using the folder provides a stiff circle to hold the spools together and worked well to hold the trinket pin in place.
2. Cut 26 .5 inch x 1.25 inches strips from book pages and one .75 inch x 2 inches strip from the music paper
3. Wrap all the mini wooden spools with your text paper.  *note use a mini spool to top your tree to give it a bit more weight.  You could use a skinny spool too*  Wrap the Vintage wood spool with music paper.
4. Starting with the 1.25 punched manilla folder circle, glue 11 skinny mini spools to the outside edge using a strong liquid glue.  Glue 1 inch manilla folder circle to the top of the skinny spools.
5.  Add next layer of 8 skinny wooden spools to the 1 inch circle.  Glue the .75 inch manilla circle on top the spools and add last layer of 6 skinny mini spools.
6. Glue .5 inch circle to the top of the spools & add the single mini wooden spool.  Glue the entire piece to the vintage wooden spool.
7. Add glitter glue to all the edges of the spools to give it a little sparkle.
8. Take the 1.5 inch punched circle and working from the outside in, glue the small ruffle trim in layers to create the tree skirt.  Three layers is all you need, leaving a small circle for the wooden spool.
9.  Glue the wooden spool to the tree skirt. Wrap baker's twine around the vintage spool and tie it in a bow.
10.  Print out your holiday sentiment on cream cardstock.   Trim to a banner piece leaving a little excess off the left side of the printed title.  Add glitter glue to the banner & let dry.
Wrap the banner piece around the stick pin and glue the excess to the printed title.
Add stick pin to the top of the three.
You're done! :)
Sorry if this was confusing, but if you want to try this out, great!
 When, you at the mall checking out those brand-spanking new $5O a&f jeans and you head to the cash register. Then, it hits you. You were saving up for a Mac. Uh-Oh! Those jeans look awesome! But you need a new computer your other one broke. &&+ that was your last $5O from christmas. ANDD. you promised your grandma you would put it towards a MAC. +PLUS you don't have a job your under-age. BUT, that is what you think. I can help.
{money}it's everywhere. But you have to work for it. It doesn't grow on trees.
O1; allowance(: I don't get it because I am going to australia. &&+ its an expensive trip. But have a chat with your parents and talk about maybe if you made your lunch everyday when you would normally buy. THAT's IF they give you lunch money. Then they could pay you. Not the school.
O2; Pet-sitting &+ Dog walking(: This is for you if you love animals. Make sure you live in a neighborhood that has lots of animals. LiKE if your neighboors HATE dogs(who would?) ANDD. have a lot of kids maybe you should consider babysitting. BUT, if you want to start dog walking you NEED to pick up the poo. Even, if it is NASTY:( Then again my BFF got paid $75 to watch 2 rats for 2 weeks.
O3; Baby-sitting(: Usually a good way to earn money. Most people charge $6 an hour. Lets say the parents are out till 11pm &+ they leave at 6pm. Ch-ching! $30. It's even better if they have 2 kids. But give them a discout. $1O an hour. Cha-ching-Cha-ching. A GRAND TOTAL OF $5O! Make sure you take a course at your local red-cross. Never invite your friends over or else they will think you are having too much fun and not watching their kid/kids enough.
O4; Sell your stuff(: On ebay or at a local consignment shop. This can make a few quick bucks. :)
O5; Shovel Driveways(: Perfect in this kind of weather. Can pay up to about $2O for a normal sized driveway. But, it can be nasty when it's cold. Wear layers. +PLUSS gloves,hats,scarves, etc. (:
ANDD. do some smart shopping(: http://www.polyvore.com/smart_shopping/set?id=27405179
 Here are some ways to earn money ::
« babysit!
babysitting can earn you lots of money depending on who you babysit. Plus, it's sorta fun having kids around you for a couple hours
« chores
chores stink, yeah I have then too. But allowance can get you pretty far money wise. Depending on how much your parents pay you, your money savings can add up each month.
« selling things online
If you have things you don't really like or use any more, you could go no e-bay or amazon and sell your things. At least someone on the big internet world will want to buy it!
« garage sales
You can ask your parents to make a garage sale, because then you can take all your old junk you don't need anymore and sell it at a garage sale!
« you could ( and you saw this coming ) get a job!
With a job, you get paychecks, and you earn money... yeah.
« your could pet sit
Its just like babysitting! but, with a little more mess.
« lemonade stands
hahahahahaha maybe it sounds childish, but I've earned a couple good bucks from lemonade stands
Well, I probably forgot something so, I might add on some more later. But for now, those are a couple ways to earn money! Hope you liked!
 - Parents. ☆
Your biggest source of getting some cash! Ask them about allowance, yard work, chores, food shopping and other help and they might be able to give you some cash.
- Neighbors. ☆
Do you have neighbors? Ask them if you could mow their lawn, walk their dog, or plant some flowers. Over the summer a lot of people are working so they might not be able to do all the things that they want to do so, ask them if they need a hand and charge a certain price per hour. { Check with your parents for rates. }
- Babysitting. ☆
Talk to your parents about becoming CPR certified and getting a certificate. When you do you can earn LOTS of money! Set up signs in shoprite and around town and trust me, you will get customers! { My old babysitter got paid $50 to watch me for a few hours, imagine what you could earn in two weeks! }
- Food Sales. ☆
Lemonade, baking, cookies, ice cream, candy, and any other goodies will reel people on in the hot summer! * Make everything homemade and sell them in little bags with tags. People will want more and more. Take your time and have your parents help you with more food ideas. Also, get a popular place where everyone will pass by but, get permission first!
- Tutoring // Summer Reading Help. ☆
Me and a friend plan to do this over the summer and tutor smaller kids! Set up signs EVERYWHERE and pick a spot where you can bring supplies and meet the parents. { Library , Park , Etc; }
- Friendship Bracelets. ☆
You can find tutorials on Youtube. * *
Simple ones can only take half an hour! Sell them around school and to your friends for a few dollars. Make sure to take your time when making them and add beads // metallic string to make them more custom and appealing!
- Ebay // Garage Sales // Craigslist. ☆
SELL< SELL < SELL! One day, go through your whole room and find the stuff you don't want or need. Make sure that other people would want it too. { No holes, stains, tears, scratches } Also, when selling clothes wash them before selling! *
Then find a site and sell away!
- Car washes. ☆
All you need is a hose, soap, car wax, and some friends. Set up sign with prices a week before and have fun! Make sure your customers are happy and get a cleaned car!
- Contests. ☆
On a lot of sites you can enter art and writing pieces and you will get paid. Search on { Google } contests and magazines near you.
* I have entered a few but make sure they are legit!
- Findfocusgroups.com . ☆
http://www.findfocusgroups.com/
This site is a LEGIT site that you can earn money. * Don't lie about your age! All you need is an email and { sometimes a parent } but, you can earn FAST money by taking surveys.
- Report Card. ☆
Like some people { me too! } You can get paid by your report card. In my house it goes like this
For each A : $2
For Each B : $1
All A's Bonus : $5
Ask your parents because for most of you there is still one report card left! Over the year I have earned a lot with this.
- Etsy.com . ☆
You can go to Micheal's Craft Store and pick up some jewelry craft supplies. Then, create an account and start selling! It could be a blast! (:
- Loans. ☆
This isn't always the best choice but, if you PROMISE to pay your parents // siblings back then go for it! My mom is lending me $75 and whenever i get allowance i give it to her, and mark it on the calender!
- DiY Stand. ☆
Make homemade creams, lipgloss, nail polish, and more! Set it up with your friends and find more DiY ideas right here on Polyvore!
- Grandparents. ☆
Ask your grandparents if you could shop for them or clean their house. Work extra hard and in the end, it will be worth it!
- SAVE. ☆
Save your money. If you want more money then don't buy like crazy and store it away in jar. * Trick : If you don't bring your money then you can't spend it so, keep your $$ in a save wallet at home!
earning MONEY without a job ♥
earning MONEY without a job ♥ by the-polyvore-tips featuring a haircare
 so, a job is probably the best way to earn money, but because of your age and school, this can be hard. so, here are some ways to earn money!
+ eBAY: sell items that you don't want anymore on ebay! ask your friends and family if they have anything they don't want and if you can sell it!
+ BABYSiTTiNG: babysit for your relatives before babysitting other kids so you have some more experience!
+ DOG-WALKiNG: not only do you get money, you also burn calories and get to mind cute dogs! :)
+ PETSiTTiNG: take care of someone's pet! it could be pretty difficult, but you'll most likely make lots from it.
+ ETSY.COM: http://www.etsy.com/ is a website where you can sell all handmade items!
+ ADSENSE: if you link adsense with your youtube, blogspot, etc. you'll receive money in returning for showing advertisements on your page!
+ SECOND-HAND SHOPS: try selling your old things in second-hand shops rather than ebay. books are good to sell, and you could try selling your old school books! just make sure you don't need them anymore!
+ CHORES: ask your parents if they'll pay you for doing random chores around the house! or you could do chores for other people too, put an advertisement in a local supermarket or your school with your contact information.
+ YARD/GARAGE SALE: have a yard/garage sale to get rid of old stuff. if you don't think you'll have enough to sell, ask your family and friends if they want to sell things too!
+ STANDS: set up a stand outside selling food or crafts.
+ TUTORiNG: tutor younger children! just make sure it's a subject that you like and that you're good at it.
+ SELL PLASMA: it may not sound like a fun way to make money, but you can make quite a lot from it! it takes time, and i think you have to be over eighteen though.
+ GO FUND ME: if you're raising money for something important than try http://www.gofundme.com/online-fundraising/?aff=cpf , people can donate to you!
+ GIVE LESSONS: give music or sports lessons to younger kids!
+ GiGWALK: i don't know much about it since i don't have an iphone, but from what i've read it's an app that gives payment for you doing random tasks in your area.
+ SWAPPING PARTiES: okay, these don't really help you make money, but you can save money! rather than selling your old things, have a 'swapping party' with your friends. tell them to bring all their old, unwanted items to your house and you can swap!
+ PHOTO-SHOOTS: if you have a good camera and you're a good photography, you could try doing photo-shoots! don't charge much, people aren't going to want to pay a lot of money unless you're a professional. or you could offer the photo-shoot for free and they have to pay a few cents for each photo they want!
+ HOUSE-SiTTiNG: offer to 'house-sit' for people while they're away: water their plants, take in their post, etc.
+ MANiCURES: if you're good with nails, you could do cheap manicures/pedicures!
+ GOOD GRADES: see if you can work out a deal with your parents where you get a small amount of money for each A you get.
+ BLOGGiNG: make a blog with open it up with google advertising! making the money might be slow, but it adds up!
+ MARKETS: join/start a market and sell your crafts and food!
+ FACEPAiNTiNG: if you're good at it, then do facepainting in a local busy area or at local events.
+ BUSKiNG: sing, play instruments, dance, do acrobats, etc. on the street. leave a basket or something in front of you so people will {hopefully} give you money! just make sure that it is legal to busk where you are doing so!
okay, that's all i got! if you know anything else, feel free to comment(:
How to save Money
How to save Money
How to save Money by tip-girls10 on Polyvore
 1 When you save up your money give it to your parents and tell them not to give it back to you till you have at least $50
2 Have a money box with a lock and give the key to a trusted friend wait till you have raised at least $50
3 Make a list of the things you really want and every time your tempted to buy something else look at the list
4 Get someone to hide you wallet and when you have $50 ask for it back
-AND-
Wondering how to save up money for Christmas / Black Friday ? Your at the right place
01; START A SAVING BOX
- For example if you mow your neighbor's lawn and they give you $5 , go put that money in a little box and don't take it out until christmas.
02; FIND A JOB UNTIL CHRISTMAS
- Yeah ! What the title says . You can babysit , mow lawns , walk the dog , have a little bake sale & sell hair bows at school . My friend is apparently selling hairbows that are really decorative like cheerleading hairbows. They are $3-5 . Sell jewelry if you want !
03; HIDE MONEY FROM YOURSELF
- This is will seriously work ! Even if you get a dollar hide it under your bed & a drawer & a little box .
04; CASH COINS IN FOR MONEY
- So go to the nearest walmart or bank . They should have a little machine where you put coins in and they make them into money . If you have lots of coins , go cash them in.
05; SAVE COINS
- Become a coin collector . You could save up tons of money by collecting nikels , dimes & pennies by christmas .
06. DON'T BUY STUFF YOU DON'T NEED
- It's time to be joyful and stop wasting money . Like instead of paying like $20 for a cd , have a friend burn one.
07. BUY STUFF YOU DO NEED
- Like if you need soap , then buy it because you probably will need it .
08; BUY STUFF THAT WILL LAST
- For example how about that one little dress , you've been dying to buy ! So say you buy it and the next day the color wears out & the dress shrinks. Now you can't take it back. You decided to waste money on a dress that doesn't even last !
09; USE GIFTCARDS WISELY
- If you don't your gonna end up wasting money on useless things . Thing twice before you buy something like if it's food that you need then you should buy it !
10; FIND MONEY IN YOUR ROOM
- & on the ground . You'll probably find a lot of money from over the years on your bedroom floor.
11; PLAN UP WHAT YOUR GOING TO BUY
- If your buying bath & body works fragances for your sister , then add that up & see how much money you need & will need to spend
12; ALL IM SAYING IS USE MONEY WISELY
- Because you never know what your going to get . Life is full of suprises.
Awesome books you should read!
Awesome books you should read!
Awesome books you should read! by your-favorite-tip-girls featuring Cornelian Taurus sunglasses
 Before we start, I just want to let you know that I'm trying to put less popular books that way you can find some new ones. :)
-Divergent by Veronica Roth
I have no words for this book. It's one of the best books I've ever read. Ever. Okay, now to the storyline:
Divergent takes place in a society where civilization as we know it has pretty much collapsed, and the city (previously Chicago) has reformed itself to be split into five factions, which each value a different trait: Abnegation values selflessness, Candor values honesty, Amity values peace, Erudite values knowledge, and Dauntless values courage. When a citizen turns 16, they have to take an aptitude test which determines which faction they would fit into most, then all the 16-year-olds choose which faction they want to belong to. Beatrice is an Abnegation. When she takes the aptitude test, she is said to be Divergent, which means she fits into more than one faction and is special. I'm not going to tell you much more, but things get pretty crazy. Divergent is intense, epic, and a good match for Hunger Games lovers. It's part of a trilogy, the second book is called Insurgent and is out now.
-Legend by Marie Lu
Yay, another dystopian society book that I absolutely fell in love with! This book, the first in a series, takes place in a Los Angeles of the future, where two sides- the Republic (government) and the Colonies (rebels)- are in a war over America. One of the main characters, June, is a fifteen-year-old prodigy of the Republic. She's been preparing to be a part of the highest circles of the army since she was young. The other fifteen-year-old protagonist, Day, is very different. He is a wanted criminal that grew up in a poor part of the city. June and Day cross paths when June's brother, a high-standing official, is murdered, and Day is the prime suspect. June is put on the case to find and capture Day. The second book, Prodigy, comes out January 29th of 2013!
-Gone by Michael Grant
The books in this series are:
Gone
Hunger
Lies
Plague
Fear
Light (this book will be the conclusion of the series, and will probably be out by the end of 2013)
One day, in the town of Perdido Beach, California, everyone over the age of 15 disappears. There's no puff of smoke, no sound, they just disappear. The series follows the kids of Perdido Beach and the students at Coates Academy, the private school for troubled kids on a mountain overlooking the town. The main characters are Sam Temple, who lives i Perdido Beach, and Caine Soren, who goes to Coates. It is discovered that some kids have developed special pwers, and there is an impetrable wall surrounding the town.
-Ellen Hopkins novels
She has written a lot of novels (Crank, Glass, Burned, Identical, to name a few), so I'm not going to seperately describe each. She writes in free verse poetry about teens who normally get into tough situations, some including drugs, alchohol, etc. I do not reccomend these books to people with innocent...eyes...
-Lemonade Mouth by Mark Peter Hughes
The book the Disney Channel movie is based off of, but the book is a lot better.Basically, a bunch of high school freshmen who are all very unlike each other but all misfits in some way or another, meet in detention. They end up starting a band and, in turn, a revolution that shakes the whole school.
-Maximum Ride by James Patterson
To sum the series up in a few words: kids with wings. Max, Fang, Iggy, Gasman, Nudge, and Angel are all kids who were engineered in a lab nicknamed The School to have 98% human DNA, 2% avian DNA. They escaped the lab and are living on their own, and nicknamed themselves The Flock, and are trying to be recaputred by The School. Books in the series are The ANgel Experiment, School's Out- Forever, Saving the World and Othe Extreme Sports, The Final Warning, MAX, Fang, Angel, and Nevermore, the final book, which will be out on August 6th, 2012. This series has a lot of action and humor, and I found them to be pretty quick reads.
-Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins
Before she wrote the Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins wrote Gregor the Overlander, the first book of the 5-book Underland Chronicles. Gregor lives with his poor grandmother and baby sister. His father disappeared a while ago, and Gregor is the person his family depends on. One day his two-year-old sister, Boots, falls through a grate in their apartment and they land in the Underland, where giant creatures like cockroaches, bats, and rats coexist wih humans. However, there is a prophecy concerning Gregor. The books are Gregor the Overlander, Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane, Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods, Gregor and the Marks of Secret, and Gregor and the Code of Claw.
-The White Giraffe by Lauren St. John
When Martine's parents die in a fire, she has to go to South Africa to live with her Grandmother, who lives on a nature reserve. She is told about the myth of a white giraffe, who leaves footprints, but is never seen. One night Martine looks out her window onto the nature reserve to see the white giraffe, and decides to investigate... There are two more books about Martine, Dolphin Song and The LastLeopard, but neither or them really relate to The White Giraffe or are as good in my opinion.
-Matched by Ally Condie
Matched is a dystipian love story set in a future society with an extremely contrillong government where you are matched with the person who you are to marry and spend your life with. Cassia is matched with her best friend, Xander, and goes home to look at the microcipgiven to her with information about him. However, when she opens it, another boy's information is on it-Ky, who also lives in Cassia's city. Cassia is told it was a mess-up, but she doesn't just forget about it. A love triangle and revolution commence. Crossed, the second book in the trilogy, is out now. The third and final book, Reached, will be out Novenber 13, 2012.
-Maze Runner by James Dashner
This is another of my all-time favorites forever. Thomas wakes up in a pitch black room without any memory besides his first name. eventually, the elevator he is in moves up and is opened by a large group of boys, who have all had the experience he did. The call the area enclosed by large stone walls they live in the Glade, and they call themselves the Galders. Behind the walls is a huge maze, which the boys have been trying and failing to figure out for as long as they've been in the Glade. Every night the walls close, creatures called Grievers come into the maze, and the walls shift. Normally, a new boy arrives in the elevator evey thirty days, but the next day a girl named Teresa arrives unconcious in the elevator. Thomas discovers he has a telepathic link with her. It all escalates from here. The other two books in the trilogy are The Scorch Trials and The Death Cure.
- Dark Secrets by Elizebeth Chandler
There are two Dark Secrets books (Dark Secrets and Dark Secrets 2) and in each book there are two unrelated stories. The stories normally have something to do with love, and are creepy or scary. A good thing about these books is that you don't have to worry about getting them out of order because it doesn't matter.
-Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn
I can honestly say that this is one of the only 'scary' books that have ever scared me. Ali goes to a lake with her aunt Dulcie and younng cousin Claire after finding a mysterious photo of her mother, Dulcie, and a girl who has been torn out of the picture, When Ali goes to the beach with Claire they meet a rude little girl who calls herself Sissy, Claire loves Sissy, who is bossy and mean. Later, ALi tries to fond Sissy in town but no one knows her... There's more that happens but spoilers! Mary Downing Hahn has written a lot of great books that you should read as well.
-Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld
Leviathan is a steampunk trilofy written by the author of Uglies (which you should also read). In an alternate, steampunk Europe in the time before World War I, two sides have been established: Clankers, who use huge, intricate machines, and Darwinists, who use living, breathing animals instead of machines. Alek is the prince of Clanker Austria-Hungary (I think) when his parents are asassinated, which eventually begins the war. Dylan Sharp is a new airman from Darwinist England with a secret-Dylan is actually Deryn, a girl. When a twist of events lands Alek and his ambassadors, Deryn and Alek's lives are thrown together. The other two books in the series are Behemoth and Goliath.
-13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher
Clay Jensen comes home one day to find a box of seven cassette tapes on his doorstep in an anonymous package. He finds that the tapes are from his classmate and crush, Hannah Baker, who recently comitted suicide. In the tapes she told 13 reasons why she comitted suicide, with a side of a tape for 13 people, 13 reasons.
Peppermint Hot Chocolate(: by the-polyvore-tippersx on Polyvore
 WHAT WE NEED(:
- 3 cups powdered milk
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup sugar
- crushed candy canes
First, take your cocoa powder, powdered milk, and sugar, and put it all into a bowl.
Next, unwrap your candy canes, (use how ever many candy canes you want, three or four should be enough though.) and put them in a blender. Blend them until they're in like a powder-type form and put as much of it in your mix as you want, depending on how peppermint-y you want it(:
Now, mix together everything and then heat up 1 cup of milk.
Once your milks heated, pour it into a cup. Now add 1/4 cup of your mixture to the milk & stir it up. (reminder that this mixture will serve quite a bit of people, that's why you only need 1/4 cup of it.)
Add whipped cream & sprinkle a little peppermint on it.
~Appearance ;
Don't change who YOU are just to impress a guy. But you still want to have a good appearance. Boys like girls who smell good. Don't over-do it though because if you have a lot of perfume on, its like a repellent to boys. Boys also don't like a lot of makeup. If you feel more confident wearing a lot of makeup, go ahead. but maybe tone it down just a little. Try going for a more natural look. I would recommend wearing a glittery light colored eyeshadow, brown eyeliner (just on the lid!), mascara and a peach or clear lip gloss. Make your outfits cute too. You don't have to be uncomfortable though. Dress in something comfy and just spice it up a little! Like if you normally wear a t-shirt and skinny jeans with sneakers, try adding a scarf or a necklace and replacing the sneakers for flats, flat boots, or cute sandals. You don't want to look like you're trying too hard either.
~Getting closer ;
Okay, so now you're friends with him and you hang out and talk at school. Maybe try texting him now! Just one day at school approach him and say "Hey, we should make some plans sometime to hang out! What's your number?" or something of that sorts. Then you can text him. Just have a normal conversation. (Comment if you need help for conversation ideas and I can make another tip.) After awhile ask to hang out. Make it subtle and nice. Try "If you're free Saturday night, would you wanna go see a movie? :)"
~Telling him you like him ;
Okay, you're friends, you hang out and you have his number.Telling a boy you like him isn't as terrifying as it sounds. Guys won't get creeped out or back away any. If you don't wanna tell him directly, ask one of your friends to drop a subtle hint like "Oh my gosh, you guys are adorable. When are you gonna start dating?!" Sometimes this is risky though. The best thing to do is tell him yourself. But you have to time it right. See if hes into YOU first. You don't wanna get hurt. SIGNS TO TELL IF HE LIKES YOU! If he likes you, he will probably touch you. (In a friendly way, like touching your hair or your arm or sitting really close to you. He'll also feel more comfortable around you and show his soft side more. Now you can tell him you like him!
~Lollipops {Obviously!}
~A pot
~A ball of styrofoam
~Ribbon {Optional}
~Paint/s {Optional}
~Sticker/s {Optional}
~Marker/s {Optional}
First things first , just so you dont get your lollipops painted or marked , decorate the pot if you want to . When complete , put a ribbon around the top and tie it to a bow to make it adorable ! This is an optional part :) Next , place the styrofoam ball on the pot {when dry if you painted it} and make sure it fits . Then carefully insert lollipops on the styrofoam from bottom to top , but go around like in a circle . Finally , your finished !
O2 . If your a good writer , this would definitely work ! So , it's Moms/Dad's/Best Friends Birthday , and you have NO IDEA what to give them . Well , I've got something for you ! Write a poem or letter ! A poem would be so cute and make sure its super sweet {Ex~ Beautiful had no meaning , till I met you . } . A letter would be such and "Awe" thing for your BFF {Ex~ I remember when I first met you , I knew we'd be BBF's from the start . Soon after that , we had amazing times together and I know nobody can ever make them so special or fun like we did . }
O3 . If your a sculpture , sculpt something . If you don't have any clay , go buy some at Micheal's or the nearest crafts store near you ! Maybe you can make a heart shaped piggy bank or their favorite cartoon character {Ex~ Spongebob or Hello Kitty}
O4 . An amazing cake pop stand ! Omg , no idea what to bring to the party at class . Ding ! Cake pops ! Here's how to make em ! But first , use the items from the lollipop tree except the lollipops of course to make the cake pop stand . First , bake a cake . Any flavor you like . Then , add 2 cups of frosting of any kind . Use your hands to mix together the frosting and cake to form a cake pop batter . Next form your batter into small balls , about 3-4 tablespoons each . Once you have formed them {a normal size cake will make around 50 pops} put them in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours or the freezer for half and hour or so . While they are in there , you can get your candy melts {Ex~ chocolate} and make one {Ex~ chocolate melted} . Then , grab a cake pop and push the stick to the middle of a cold cake pop. Dip the pop in the melted substance {Ex~ the melted chocolate} . Once that is done , take out the cake pop from the substance and let any excess substance drip off before placing it .
You will need to leave the pops in the foam for a while so the chocolate stays still . Once the chocolate is set these are ready to serve to your classmates !
